Yipeee!!!

My darling wife ordered a Stave Press for me for our fifth wedding anniversary!  I'm looking forward to it!  My bench vise is a pain and my shaving horse is too!

On to future projects!

You'll love the Stave Master. I got one from Keenan a few years ago and haven't regretted a minute since.

You will like the stave press.  I have a version of it that was made by a friend on here.  I use my vise for staves but once I rough out the bow I switch to the stave press.  Its great for tillering.  Make a few small wood blocks of different thicknesses to use as a spacer in the press.  I put the bow to one side and a spacer on the other side.  It keeps the plate level and holds the bow better.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Oops.  No comment about the Stave Press because I've never used one.  ;)

I love my stave press.  I have two bases, one mounted outside and one in my shop.

I use it for a lot more than bows.  Works great to hold my guns while I clean and work on them.  I also find it handy for holding many other items while I work on them.  Happy anniversary.
