some glass points

i just started doin this. i surely aint good yet. i try to find pieces that already look like arrow heads then i go from there. these arent for deer i cant get them sharp enough. the wider one im gonna try to make more circular at the bottom. as in david w.'s previous post any tips or hints. thanks guys. :) the

Hey man, those are good, you didn't break them so that's a success.  Keep playing with it, you'll learn more and they'll get sharper too.  Good work!

Looks like you're off to a good start. I wouldn't want to get hit with either one of them. My only suggestion is that you need to push in more instead of down to get flakes to run across the face of the piece. Look up that "beer bottle to arrowhead" link that I posted and read it, it'll get you a little farther.

It keeps temping me to try my hand at knapping.

huntertrapper, I would not hesitate to use those in need.  Those points look sharp!  I was looking at some of the early european knapped points, post-solutrian interestingly enough.  They were very rough and flat, if edged, in the font.  I'd bet yours would do better than those.

Mine are from beerbottles, too. Here`s an original from european bronceage found by a girlfriend, who works as a gardener.
