Fluted Point Factory: "Raw Tine-alicious"

While contemplating how to respond on a few other threads, I decided to forge ahead with two more lines of experiments that pertain to tine-based flaking - outrepasse flaking, coast to coast flaking, fluting, and general flaking:

After:

Before:

In reverse, this is late stage flaking followed by mid-stage flaking:

before cleanup:

after late stage cleanup:

Mid-stage flaking:

Notice no outrepasse flakes?

In one of the threads, I am thinking of responding with,

"While there may be between 50 to 100 variables, that span roughly six major areas, in my tine-based outrepasse technology, there are probably less than two dozen "signatures" that pertain to the technology.    And, if a knapper deliberately alters some sets of variables, then it has some effect on the "signatures" that can be seen (or in some cases "negative signatures" that cannot be seen), as well as having some effect on the overall outcome."

or, I might write:

"Imagine if there had not been deer.
Do you know what you would not be seeing on this page?
Have you hugged a deer, today?"

Anyway, I hope to get back to the other threads soon, after I finish forging ahead with two other lines of experiments, that pertain to the tine-based outrepasse technology, which could more accurately be described as an umbrella technology.
