Everything sounds cool!   I'm still thinning out the ideas, but will probably have either leather or cane. This is my fourth year jumping in on this and it's always exciting trying to come up with the perfect gift.

I've got a couple of deer hides strung up drying. One is from a 200+ pound buck and the other was from about a 70 pound doe. I'm thinking I will use the hair on hide for a quiver. What would be the preference between using it as rawhide or soften it to brain tanned leather. I personally prefer a soft quiver that'll fold around the arrows, but since it's not staying with me. I'm curious on everyone's preference. Stiff and hard rawhide, or soft and flexible braintan?

Stiff allows for a distinct rattle sound, good for arrows making the sound of bucks duking it out when you shake it. Soft obviously would deaden the sound.

Hair on quiver would be cool either rawhide or tanned, either way would be fine with me.
