wiggily elm sap

This was sapling that I regretted cutting because of the character it had,knots, reflex, deflex and snake,you name it!i felt obliged to try a go at it.after loads of coaxing using Marc's localized steam and heat treating I came up with this.43@26",62"ttt finished in Kelly green rit dye and poly.thanks rob!

Nice work Rob, looks real good braced and drawn. I always like the green dye for a color but you don't see many with it. So how many heat/steam sessions did ya have to make to get it where you wanted it?

Thanks guys!Greg I used localized steam in order to remove some deflex and add some reflex.i gave it a mild heating to lock in the changes.then floor tiller and a heavy heat treating,then a slight floor tiller onto brace.the chore was to get string a ligament where I wanted it.after a bit of lateral straightening and tip twisting it shot well.thanks again gents!rob!
