80# warbow
« on: October 12, 2015, 11:45:12 pm »
G'day all,

Just wanted to share the most recent warbow I've made. It was custom made to the customers chosen materials and weight.  It is 80" ntn and as in the title of the thread 80# @ 30" true draw.  Timbers are Hickory for the back, Ipé in the core and a Lemonwood belly with cow horn nocks.  probably the prettiest warbow I've made and I'm very happy with how it came out.

Cheers,

Colin

Oh and a photo of him shooting it for the first time  ;D

Couldn't get the smile of his face for a few days I reckon.

Makes the hours working on it all worth while tho and I was happy to make it for him.

"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-

the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."
