Twine/rope recommendations

I want to keep a yard swing frame and weave a new seat for it. What type of twine or rope would last in the elements?

My hammock is 3/8" cotton cord. Its comfy and soft, but takes a good while to dry out if it gets wet.

Funny how the simple answer slips by us. It is also dyeable. I guess its off to the interwebs to see about a big spool.

3/8" nylon would be more weather resistant but it doesn't take dye well.

Dye isn't important. i didn't think nylon fared well in the sun.

Better than cotton I would think. Nylon, not poly!

I use clothesline for all things outdoor.  Might try that as well.  Is that cotton?  I'm not sure.  Russ

I used 3/8" twisted nylon rope to tie my boat to the dock and as an anchor rope. It was at the dock for 12 years and the sun never damaged the rope.

Gotta remember your bare back/legs might be on it, any nylon or poly will chew your skin up and be rough. Hard to beat a cotton T-shirt on your skin eh'? :)
