If you take a Crimean Tatar style bow with the whole Kasans the same length as the ears of a Manchu bow, both the same length with the same level of reflex and draw weight, would the Manchu bow store significantly more energy? (smoother, more even draw?) Or just a little less? I guess it depends on how stiff the non-tip portion of the Kasan in the crimean tatar style bow would be. That is, does it make a difference (besides stability) if the ear is more or less forward of the limbs if the angle is the same and the ear length is the same?
I guess the Tatar bow would be more stable and perhaps faster depending on construction
Does reflex at the handle make a bow stack more? Would a R/D, or straight design be smoother if the overall reflex is the same?
Thank you
