What are your biggest techincal challenges
« on: December 03, 2015, 07:19:08 am »
I seemed to have tackled thinning with antler but while pressure flaking I still am over shooting and knocking the opposite side off. Thinning with the ishi stick is powerful stuff so controlling that energy is now my biggest challenge. Even after years of using this tool I think there is much to learn about controlling it's possibilities.

Getting a thin point is mine. I'm not really good with any aspect, but that is my worst.

I am just giving this ABO type knapping a try so cleaning up my flaker and billet without using modern day equipment to stay within the guidelines of ABO I  guess  is an issue for me.  I did use a power tool to remove the antler times though.
