Turtle, maybe ya could use a big ol chunk of ironwood to convince your brother? Hell man the way all you fellas are gettin after it I'm way behind and by the time my wood thaws you all are gonna be workin on your second ones.....damned >:D >:D >:D >:D

Heh, guess I'll be starting sooner even than I thought....just broke my new red maple Meare Heath bow tillering, which was the project I wanted to complete first. Now it's complete. :laugh:

re  stock -- I alreaady posted a pic of the elm stave I have for this trade bow, but I also have backups of two dry black birch staves, so I'm set to go. I would like to see who I've picked cause that will give me a better idea what I want to build for them -- the hard part is deciding what bow next!

     sorry about your red maple man....if it will help you out at all, I have some hard maple staves ready to work.....not many maybe 4-5 but you are welcome to them.

I've got a little pile of sinew stripped out and some more pieces ready to be pounded. And here's the stave I'll be playing with and the workshop I'll do my carving. I just gotta put the clamp back in the bed.

I'm pretty sure that meare heath bow that broke was started before this trade got started, correct?

Plan B, I was hoping that bow would make it, breaks happen to all of us though.

Rich you shouldn't be worried about the rest of us...I'm pretty sure you could make a bow in you sleep at this point. ;)

Half Eye thanks kindly brother, but I'm all set that way.! Also been eying some HHB trees I've held off of, but seeing your hhb molly from awhile back has made me get an itch for a little winter chainsaw work.

Ok, i would like to join the fun if yall will have me. A couple things, been havin trouble postin pics for a long while, like my past 4 bows. Lookin for a different pic poster app thing😄. And (b) i'm outta osage, have a bunch of hackberry which i have not worked before, but confident i could get a good bow from. So now its up to you guys to decide to take me.
