Id appreciate a pictorial example of this.
Tread softly and carry a bent stick.

Dont seek your happiness through the approval of others

SUCCESS FINALLY!  Well, I finally got this stave straight.  I hate to be defeated by a piece of wood :-(  Heating the section of handle made some progress but not enough.

Hey ajooter, I used your idea of steaming it and then hitting it with the heat gun.  That finally worked.  Thanks man!  I steamed that baby for an hour last night, clamped it in my end vise, greased it up, hit it with the heat gun for ten minutes and pulled the limb 7/16" past alignment.  Finally got great alignment today when I took it out of the clamp.

So, this afternoon I refined the profile and started floor tillering.  I'll get back on the floor tillering this evening.

I'm just getting ready to do my layouts on a couple this weekend and you guys are damn near done!!!

I opted to wait for warmer weather. Today would have been good but I'm searching for a runaway dog and now high school state wrestling championships are going on. I won't get much done but will show some progress tomorrow.

I do have one sinewed bw drying that won't take long after the curing process I hope.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

Drewster, nice job taming that stave and I have to comment that your shop is real nice. It's so tidy and organized that it's making me feel like a slob, looks like a very nice place to be making bows. :)
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Hey Greg, maybe we should start a competition   on a new thread. We could call it "The dirtiest shop on PA"  we could give away a toilet brush for the worst one. That way they could clean up all their crap!  >:D
