Here's the pic of the osage and sinew profile after setting for a few months. I put a crayon standing up where the arrow pass will be so you can see which limb is upper.

It is to low brace and I think it is looking pretty good but I am dong all the tiller work with bow in hand looking down th limbs or looking in the mirror so I'm not sure how to get good shots of the bending. I still have a wife so I guess maybe she would take a few for me soon  ;D One of the reasons I have been absent lately but we finally sat down and put all BS aside. We may make it after all.

I have tomorrow off so I will get after it and also plan B which should be at low brace tomorrow.

Good news my friend, happy to hear it.   If you're both still willing to try, that means there's still something worth saving.

Oh and the bow looks nice too.

Choosing to try and put horn tips on my bow was the dumbest idea I had. Dang things snapped off the first time I tried to brace the bow. Oh well guess this things gunna be plain Jane cause if I'm right I've only got a few days left to finish and fix the string grooves.
i need nothing but my old bow and arrows.

I don't think anyone is gonna bust your chops if you'd like to try and get the overlays right. It's fairly obvious that you'll soon have a bow to send. If it were up to me, I'd give you extra days if it meant you were able to learn a new technique.

I was so worried about trying to get you the time you wanted I never bother to check the deadline. From what I just read at the beginning of the thread, we have until mid August. Unless of course the date was changed further along in the thread. I'm sure someone will chime in if it was.

Thank you DK. I really appreciate you taking the time to drop a few lines to me when you did.

Thanks Gutshot.

kid bow, now you know something you didn't before. I believe we have until August to ship so there's still time.

So here's pics of the bow thanks to my wife, at 5" brace and then drawn some. It is pulling 33# at 18".

How's the tiller look to you?

DuBois,  to me your upper limb looks to have stiff spots above and below that knot.

Tim,  my tip overlays are purpleheart--pink Ivory would be cool--unless you are an elephant.

It took some backtracking but I found the stix bow! That is a fine lookin creation you got there!

TimR, yours was lookin awful good too. How's it coming now?

Hey Janderson, did that walnut get straight or did you decide to leave it wonky?

I'll try to get some update pics of the progress if wife is willing.
