Not too shabby considering it started as a junk of johnstone! One of these days I'm gonna start breaking some of that. Does it actually knap well?
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Don, nice work on such a crappy  pc of material ??? ;D  Tracker this is just my personal experience with Johnny stone. It is tuff material to work. The only good thing about it is that it is cheap and plentiful. :o ;D  I hate knapping crapperite. Bob

Yea, Thunder Chert is a pain in the a$$ to knap. Don, you need to be at the Classic and enter the Thunder Bowl.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

The thunder chert is a good practice material. It can be tough to get all the
glaze off. It snaps/lops easily. You really have to watch the end hits and prep your platforms. I like the white color and the potential for large blades.
It knapps like a medium quality chert imo.
