I am going with photo of a photo. The guide blinked. Nobody paints that in. Too much detail in the grass. If you look there is a reflection on the entire photo as if it was shot through glass or had a gloss. With the right equipment you could actually enhance the reflection and see who took the photo of the photo.

In my youth I was fortunate enough to shoot tournament
rounds and hunt with men like the dude in the photo.
These gentlemen were disciples of the thumb anchored
tightly under the ear behind the jaw. The ring finger in the
 corner of the mouth. Bow shoulder rolled into the chin
and the lack of a finger grip on the bow.
