Trade Bow from James Parker
« on: August 02, 2016, 12:58:45 pm »
I received a bow from James last week and just yesterday got the chance to take some photos.
Its a 1950s style deflexed working recurve.
Its bamboo backed carbonized bamboo belly. Ipe and osage core, cherry power lam, Ipe rosewood and sapele
riser.
Its my first all wood laminate bow, and I absolutely love it. The craftsmanship is top shelf, no wonder he has the reputation he's earned.
The bow shoots great, and I'm honoured to have it hanging on my rack. Thanks James!

Awesome looking recurve, I heard that bamboo backed bows with more bamboo laminates are wickedly fast. Is it true? There are companies now producing limbs for takedowns made almost completely (or completely?) out of bamboo, supposedly because they are fast.
