Great story, Love them old knives, I have several that I got when mom passed, they belonged to both my Grand Mothers, also some old cast iron skillets, all in very good shape. The old folks knew how to take care of stuff. I use them a lot and plan on passing them along to my Son. :)

WOW !!!  I live in Geneva where that knife was made!!!  I was born raised in the shadow of that plant,,,,we used to find blanks  in the dirt behind that place the plant shut down ,,,I worked in that building too,,,,,,,it's a friggin small world thanks for the memories.   Jeff w

Old kitchen knives sure have their stories. My grandmother had a kitchen knife that had belonged to my grandfather's mother and the blade was made from a WW1 Austro-Hungarian bayonet. It's a really long, nasty looking blade - quite worn out but when sharpened it cuts like nothing else.
