Big Snake Moan

Took a little midday snooze in a makeshift ground blind. When I woke up, this guy was curled in the corner giving me the evil eye. I'm not one for killing snakes, but the blind was a little too small for the two of us. I was setup in a pecan grove. You will notice a large bulge about midway down the snake. Pretty sure he had a gray squirrel before crawling in the blind...

Yes, best I can tell it is a bull snake. I was startled and didn't know what is was, only that is was acting aggressive in tight quarters. I'm going to back a hickory bow with him. If it had been different circumstances, I would have just walked away or let him slither by. I don't like messing with any snake for any reason...

I've heard the Cowboys slept with a rope on the ground in a circle around them. Maybe you gotta put a rope around your blind.
