First truly primitive kill!
« on: September 20, 2016, 11:46:31 am »
Made the bow, arrows, and string all by myself(the bow had a lot of tips and written assistance from you gents) and finally connected on some game! 2 ruff grouse though one managed to fly into a ravine and I couldn't find it. The one I did find brings me to 13 grouse this season.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Man, now thats some shooting there! That really sounds like fun. And doing that with stone heads too. Arent you concerned with breaking them? That head looks suitable for deer, what made you choose that point over a smaller bird point?

Nice job and great eating!
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

I broke both my arrowheads actually! And those are my deer heads. I use the same arrows for everything. Makes the hunt actually a lot more fun
