DC, thanks for posting this crazy beast! I've been digging through this pile of osage limbs that someone has cut off their tree and thrown in a heap. They've been there for decades and the heartwood is still good :o. Anyway, a few have whoopty doos such as yours and now I'm considering going for it.

It looks like it's bending pretty good. I think Pat nailed it with, "Take your time and scrape thoughtfully."

They are fun to do but be prepared for the bang. I've got it out to 26" now so as soon as the snow stops I'll shoot it some.

Maybe the ugliest bow but you will probably shoot it the best! Good luck on that one. I am here for moral support, but I am not going to give you any ideas, cause I don't have a clue what I would do with that!

It's done and shot a few times but the weather has been the ships and I've been sick seems like forever. As soon as I can get 50 or so shots through it and get some pictures I'll post it

It snowed a couple of inches last night. My backyard range is covered in plastic landscape cloth and has a bit of a hill in it. A little snow on that cloth and you're on your arse in a flash. Patience grasshopper :D

Wow, I have the utmost respect for you tillering this beast. Congrats to you! It looks actually really beautiful and shows your skill as a bowyer. I hope one day to be able to tackle staves like this myself....I am not quite there yet  :)

Like others I can't wait to see pics of it drawn.
