Deer hooves

Before I get too deep into an experiment, any advice splicing pieces of horn together. I have removed the hooves from a deer and flattened then out.
The triangle shape pieces are about 3"x2"x2". Looking at investigating cutting then into triangles and the seam would zig zag up the limb and cutting into small pieces and reconstructing into a thin lathe with or without backing. I am attempting to build an all deer bow.

Any advice? other than get horn

Joints in the horn will fail if they are in the bending sections.

agree there would be significant compression forces at the joints. the plan was to treat it similar to V-splicing. of course will try it on a slat before a bow.

You can use butt splices wrapped and treat every seam like a knot in wood. You have a wood core right? Good luck with that one
