You can shoot the crowd if you want, but I'll stick to the plastic jugs.

But Dave, if I shoot the crowd they'll lock me up and throw away the key...  :o  ???

May need to create a backstop in addition to the jug-shoot contraption. I can't think of a structure on the grounds that would be suitable as backstop.

And such a backstop could be used for a kids' balloon shoot.

Those target butts at the practice range might work Mike.

Likely not tall enough. Possibly not wide enough.

I'm thinking a couple large "drapes" made out of old carpet should do nicely as a back drop.  I'll need to design a frame to hang these 'drapes' on and stand them up behind the butts.

I have a few more pics.

Here is a cool shot from across the pond.

Here is one of Clint at full draw ;)

Greg at full draw

Bill

And a Aron too.

Just a random target after we all shot. Can you tell who's bow is who's?

This one is great. It shows Paul standing over a small militia he has been making weapons for over the years. I'd bet half of these kids are shooting bows made by him.

And last I have a picture I snuck if Patrick on the way home.

Haha, damn. I posted on the wrong page. These were shots from Michigan but they look good here too.

I had to check twice to make sure I was on the mojam thread!

Some of my favorite pics from past years.

My son Elijah shooting with his friend Jonah

A younger me at my first mojam.

Me and Dave. The man that stayed up all night with me tirelessly answering all my questions until I finished my bow.

That first year we woke up around six am and started splitting Osage. We sold almost every stave for about twenty bucks or less and paid for our trip.

This is from the second year. 2010 I think. Elijah, Vincent and Jonah on the course. All shooting selfbow.

No nose at his normal spot just heating away!

I'll post some more later. I can't wait to see you all again!
Don't forget, it Loyd's birthday too!

Indeed it won't. Looking forward to it - as usual. Projects to finish, trades to be made, arrows to be flung, and best of all meeting up with old friends and making new ones.

Run a cable over the top of two target stands And stake the ends down drape your carpet over it and fire away
Doesn't have to be real tall just keep the jug stand Close to it so it catches the deflected arrows

I was thinking about another bow skirmish style shoot. Clay birds at twenty yards. First one to break all three wins. Do a tournament Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
