cooked rock clovis
« on: January 19, 2017, 01:49:22 am »
I made this thing from a piece of cooked central tx mat.
All direct percussion reduction and flutes with pressured edges and set ups.

here's the rock and preform

I hit too short and barely clipped the platform.

Thanks
I hope so too bjrogg,
I have really been enjoying knapping lately.

forgot to mention on the second flute, the bopper lightly caught one ear and sent two narrow flakes running up that edege.
It was a 1-1/4" bopper.

Perfect!
There are no bad knappers, only bad flakes
