I wasn't aware of this until recently. This style should be somewhat easier than the target style..

The hornbowyer Jj Weißnicht did this reproduction of that bow, 60#@32". He estimated the original bow's draw weight at around 100#.

Interesting that it seems to have an actual kasan of sorts, but no kasan eye reflex..

That's a lovely bow.  I'm guessing a bamboo core with mulberry sijahs? The diagram is a little confusing to my very inexperienced eyes; any more construction details?

Interesting loon.Great pictures and a wonderful looking bow.Talk about a short working area of limb.Lookng at full draw I mean.I've read tillering those with the set back reflex near the handle like that are the devil to get stable and tiller.Sort of twitchy so to speak.Depending too I guess as to how thick the horn is too.
I would imagine bamboo and some kind of wood for sijahs.Mulberry seems logical.

Cool, it's similar to the Indian crab bows...

He used yew for the siyahs, with hickory backing on the tip. Something about having yew but not asian mulberry..?

Some great looking bows
I agree. I think it's all the same bow though. He's making some more.

straight limbs and sijahs, almost like a Magyar, but in bamboo? Perhaps similar to a Tibetan style, or do they have kasan and kasan eye construction?
