Ever seen carpet tiles? Those square bits of carpet with the foam underpadding built in, meant for large rooms so you can remove a stained section and put down a new tile without replacing the whole carpet? I've used those for a target before, 4 layers will stop the arrow with a little bit hanging out the back, 6 stopped them with no penetration out the back. Of course in my case they were just lying around so I don't know how cheap they are or whatever but if you know anyone with a bunch of old ones lying around...

I pretty much have to use plastic bags. I've had the family collecting them for months.

I must have missed that one but if you send me the bow ill make sure nobody tells your wife!  :-M

Uruf....I have a backstop for my targets made out of a few layers of carpet to stop misses.Works great.Been at inside bow ranges in the winter using the same thing.The bow shop owner happened to be a carpet layer too by the way....lol.
