Hello from CA... Sorta
« on: April 10, 2017, 02:25:19 pm »
Hello all!

Been lurking around this site for some time. Have always been grateful for the info this site provides so I'd thought I'd sign up and contribute what little I can! I'm originally from AR, but most recently moved to CA. Before I left I snagged a few osage & ironwood (A. Hornbeam, musclewood, blue beech, etc.) to work on. I've only built one bow previously. A red oak board bow that took a bunch of set at a hinge I failed to identify. Looking forward to sharing some more photos of my builds later on.

Thanks,

Roosevelt

Hi,
Welcome, I'm also new here. I did the reverse of you though, I left CA (Moreno Valley, Long Beach) to move out to Michigan. A bonus is, if I hadn't moved I wouldn't have started doing archery ;). CA in the LA area just didn't seem very Archery friendly like it is here.

Erin
The thing about archery is that everyone can do it and everyone can have a good day at it. You don't have to be an expert.

Forgot my password there for a bit. I'm back now lol.

Bubby, I'm in Monterrey Park, but travel around the state quite a bit. Hunting is tough near the city.

Erin, no it isn't lol. Just have to give the neighbors a heads up when I'm shooting down alleys (-S or hike up into the mountains with my target.
