"Yukon Sky" - Sturgeon Backed Osage - 54# @ 28" (Pic Heavy)

This is my latest Osage. The stave had this scarring in it, so I decided to back it with thin rawhide, shoot it in, then sand the rawhide a bit thinner before applying sturgeon skins. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

The skins were a bit of a new experience, but not too terrible to work with all in all. There was a knot near the one tip, so I drilled it out and put in an ebony wood plug. Little beauty mark, lol. I hope everyone enjoys it. :)

Great looking bow! I love the sturgeon skin. And the beauty mark is a nice touch.

Beauty of a bow. That check running off the limb would have had me a bit nervous. Good to see it worked out.

I like it a lot cloud feather. Those sturgeon skin are really sweet and so is the rest of the bow.

It scared me, too. Left the tip static and soaked the checks with thin ca glue really good.
