You can teach an old dog new tricks. Well I guess it's more like teaching an old dog much older tricks. Nice points either way.

Was that just percussion and pressure or did you use some indirect as well?  I've been fooling with indirect but it just hasn't "clicked" yet.
I have nothing but scorn for all weird ideas other than my own.

Lookin good man! Challenging yourself to use bone and stone can improve knapping all around. It definitely dose for me.

Outstanding!  Good work, how big is your hammerstone?  I am about ready,  hand wise, to get after making little rocks out of bigger rocks.  BTW, I finished the trade shaft you nocked and pointed, and have almost half doz ready to nock and point to test.  Got carried away and didn't spine the first one.
Will post a pic as soon as I figure out what I screwed up on imgur.  Get pics up there but can't get them to post on pa.  May have to pm them to you!  Thanks

Those are nice!  You have "rock knowledge" to begin with, so the learning curve will be much smaller.
There are no bad knappers, only bad flakes

Those look great, Bob.  I'm going to concentrate on abo work this summer, myself.  Gotta help carry on that tradition!
