"friends " I met collecting rock
« on: June 18, 2017, 09:04:17 pm »
As promised here are a few of the rocks I found that have some character.

In the bottom rock in this photo, there is a crystal pocket that makes the other "eye" giving it a serpent look.

Feel free to add your own finds if you have any.

Maybe you've been  abducted. Do you see any of Devil's Mountain in your dreams?

No, but I've seen it in real life a few times, well devil's tower anyway. I'm also fairly sure I've never been "visited" before. Seeing a few ufo's over the years are the only encounters I've ever experienced, never one of the third kind.

There's a ridiculously large percentage of the brain that's dedicated to facial recognition, so seeing faces is something our brains are geared to do. It's not surprising that we see faces everywhere if we pay attention. I'm always hyper aware of highlights, shadows and details normally overlooked, as a result of art school mostly. I learned to see differently and notice subtle things in my field of view. It made me a better painter, but it also gave the forest 1000's of eyes/faces to see.

Pretty cool. The center group look like Santa Barbara beach rocks?

Two of them were from the Allegheny river and two were lake Erie beach rocks.

Neat!  There is character in everything we encounter - just have to see it and recognize it!
