I've thought about doing that on the handle and fades but I don't think it will work across the growth rings in osage. 
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

It would probably look good on a white wood bow like hickory.

Pretty cool, wonder if an old feather burner would work for that :-\, my luck I would get killed or burn something up completely. :)
