Home made campers at the C.R.A. gathering
« on: July 23, 2017, 06:51:01 pm »
This weekend I attended the Cross Roads of America gathering at McCormick's Creek State Park in Indiana.  It is about the largest gathering of teardrop and tiny campers in the country.  There were a lot of home made campers there.  It's amazing the amount of detail work some people put into them.  The weather was similar to a wet sauna, 90 degrees with 80% humidity.  The showers only had scalding hot water so that was nice   :P   It was fun to walk around and talk campers with everyone.  It reminded me of our shoots like the Classic and Marshall, just with campers instead of bows.  The guy across the road from us is a TG member and is into self bows and making arrows so it was nice to visit with him.  He grabbed some of my osage firewood to carve some spoons.  We won a hand made American Flag quilt as a door prize.  My wife was happy with that.

All of these are home made.

My wife loved this one.  The owner built it all herself.  It was pretty cool for a girly camper.  Check out the TV.

This was our camp.  We had a lot of people stop by for a tour.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Those are sweet. I think I like yours the best though. Especially the antler door handle.  )P(

Real cool mini-rigs 8)!  Nifty early '50's Chevy, too!  Those folks do some real good work.  Camping compactly at it's best!

looks like a lot of fun and ideas, Clint. With retirement coming real soon in the future you might see Kathie and me at one of those get togethers.

Color coordination of accessories certainly adds bunch of BLING to the trailer.
Glad ya had opportunity to join in the fun and took time to post these pics.

Looks like a great time. I'm sure your trailer fit right in with all the rest of those one-of-a-kinds
