meaure any way you want,,
bottom line,, if you are going to hunt, you need enough arrow so your broadhead is in front of your finger,

could it be that you are not rolling your shoulders back (at anchor) with the heavier draw weights?

Could be. Most of the time I just pull and let go. If I overthink it I miss the barn. :D
