wishing all a safe and a succsessful bow season this year
« on: September 25, 2017, 09:15:01 pm »
I was fortunate this past season to take a nice doe for the freezer and a great spring gobbler with a osage self bow I made. I backed it with copperhead skins for camo and made some viburnum shafts, fletchings from last years turkey all tied up with the sinew from my doe. The bucks eluded me and I only was able to get them within 40 yrds or so but I still was blessed with some great eats for the family. Everyone be safe, have fun and just enjoy all the creations and experiences the creator has given us.also I posted a pic of my set up for this year and a pic of my spring gobbler 10 1/4" beard . my biggest bird to date. A shooting and hunting topic but I like to see the use of all parts of the game we get after with these bows.Congrats on last years success and hope your upcoming year is a good one too.I know I'm ready too.

That's a beautiful set up, ntv, and obviously effective. Good luck with your season also.
I gonna move this to "Shooting and Hunting" for better exposure.

Nice looking hunting rig.  Good luck to everyone.  I am still rushing to get everything ready.  We will be hanging stands the next 2 days.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Great looking hunting gear!  I like that you included the good mojo by using your deer sinew and turkey feathers.  That makes it more special.  Best wishes to everyone this season.  I am sure looking forward to October!!
