UK Bowyers Camp 2018
« on: September 27, 2017, 01:22:18 pm »
Hey folks, for those of you who might be interested in attending a "primitive" bowyers camp, we're running our inaugural event next year in Wales with the hope to make it a regular event.

It's open to anybody who fancies coming along, and will be held over three days, with flight shooting, bowmaking, fletching, forging etc and a full day's rove in the glorious landscape of Monmouth.  It's sort of loosely focused around warbows, but pretty much any traditional bows/arrows are welcome.  It will also be a great opportunity to learn from some of the best bowyers, archers and craftsmen around, as we've got some brilliant people signed up already.  If you want to learn how to shoot 150lb, fit those pesky sidenocks or make authentic arrows it's all gonna be there!

All the relevant details are on the Facebook page "UK Bowyers Camp 2018" but if any of you interested are not on FB drop me a message and I'll fill you in on what's happening!

We'd really like as many people from overseas to attend, as it's a good chance for those bowyers and archers who haven't shot in the UK to do so.  It will be run in a similar way to the excellent bowyers camp in Norway, and we already have guys coming over from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Denmark and more.

It will be held sometime around September next year, so there's (hopefully!) plenty of time to get stuff organised.

Hope to see you there!

Oh PLEASE let me win the lottery between now and then!

+2 on JW!  We would extend the visit to Ireland and Scotland, and c over JW's ticket!,  anybody been bit by an eagle deserves that!  JW, if we win big time, that's a contract!  Besides, we need a punch on our passports!
