Is that a 3 mile/5km course?  Great achievement.  Time to start looking at colleges for both running and academics!  She will probably draw more attention after the state meet!  Better make that 2 new pairs of running shoes!  Congratulations to you both.

As BJ posted, ya BETTER do plenty of bragging!
While we may encourage the kiddos to be a bit restrained in boasting about themselves, same rules DO NOT apply to family!

Being "at the top" of any endeavor requires no small portion of commitment. A invaluable life lesson. And it's usually the family who plays major role instilling value of focus/commitment.

So big congrats are deserved for the young lady AND for her family!

She will be going after some track records in the spring.  Her main focus is the 800m record that my sister set in 1991.

That's great Clint. Congratulations to you all. Cross Country is a great sport.  2 of my son's ran it and now my grandchildren are.

No convertible.  She bought a used honda civic.  She saved her 4H money over the years and we matched it.

Congrats to her and you also, that is great, as was said takes a log of drive/ discipline and self motivation to run like that. I use to run a lot and For me it seems to be one of the best things I every did to build endurance and self confidants. A big congrats to her !!!! and yes Clint , Dads are supposed to brag a bit. ;) :) :) :)

She put in the work and she is reaping the benefits. Those long races are also smart races not just physical. I hope you keep us posted on her progress as we are part of her extended family. Good job Dad!
