LOL.. step away from the bow... keep your hands where we can see them :)

You could rasp off that handle and turn it into an ELB, that would loose you some draw weight.
For a small fee I can send you an English Longbow certificate of authenticity  >:D ;)

Del, I'll not risk having a document for a forgery, but it does sound tempting.

To further elicit the ire of the Bow Gods, I cut a radiused shelf into this bow and will shoot the heck out of it! I could have rasped it down, but have more wood so will try to stay the course on the next one knowing what the standard is for an authentic ELB.

For me, this is a great past time and getting lost in time making shavings and dust with the radio on and a good IPA is the same as wading a trout stream with my 1937 Bamboo fly rod.

I've made some respectable bows and a few dogs to boot. I don't take it too seriously or the fun will be lost.

I will say that I've never been steered wrong by the guys here that in my opinion really are master bowyers, and accept their critique 100% I don't always follow advice to the letter, but know I can learn a lot from those that have been there and done it . I appreciate the feedback I get, so thanks all.
