Shed find turned possibles
« on: December 21, 2017, 10:27:08 pm »
So I was cleaning out an old shed here at my new place, mostly just trash,  but I found a couple large pieces of nice leather.  They were a little musty but for the most part they cleaned up nicely.  There is a few spots and a little crincled but nothing I couldn't work with.  So after doing repairs and replacing the flooring and skids I decided to check out my find.

I've been wanting a possibles bag for my black powder supplies.  Something not to big but could carry everything I need while hunting or just shooting my black powder rifle.  So I made this possibles bag,  round ball pouch and a little pouch to contain other little tools and such.  I also took a neck knife I got at my first mojam and laced it to the shoulder strap.  It was a perfect fit.  I also decided that the store bought plastic ball starter had to go.  So with a little bit of deer antler and a broken arrow I fashioned a pretty cool ball starter. And with a little help from Ed I made some civil war eara style paper quick loaders.
So here is what I turned my smelly shed leather  into!

Patrick

I need to finish lubercating the rest of the quick loades.

Very nice Patrick. That looks like a very well thought out and constructed possibles bag. It not only looks great but very functional.
