just got this done for a friend in Oklahoma.its supposed to be a scissor tailed flycatcher. its darker than usual bird but I tend to paint to my own drummer sometime.thanks for lookin.

This one was carved from catalpa and set on cedar root the fly was made from basswood painted with acrylic.

I agree with that, BJ!  Carving is a valuable primitive skill.  Maybe 2 new boards, one for carving and one for forging.  Lots of interesting info in both skills!  How do we convince the admins?

Hehehe, I got a little kestrel that might wanna "perch" on it.  And by perch, I mean perch aggressively!  LOL
