Life is Good (Up in The Northwest)

 Due to Pappy's inspiring thread of sharing life and good memories with friends while passing on a legacy of primitive skills, Some of us  Northwest primitives would like to share as well. ;)
  This was the start of the Glass butte nappin. Juniper Junky picked me up on Thursday and the journey began. You should have seen the looks that we got while heading out of town. ;D
  First day was quiet as peolpe started to filter in the area. These first pics are the rig heading out and our home for the next few days. ;D  To say that Dave's teepee is nice is an understatement. Something fairly magical  about looking of at the poles and horse hair against the setting skies.   ;)  Keenan

 Here is what we woke to the first morning.  The second pic is Dave's amasing skills of starting a fire with alot of hot air. >:D :D  The best part of the morning, Coffee pot on the fire, and a taste of the things to come. Gold sheen obsidian, and so much more.   Keenan

 The snow drifts proved no problem for Dave's Bronco. And once you get up on top the view is incredible as you wander around on pure glass and search for biger nodes to dig up, ;D

  DTiiller showed up on Friday night and the next morning we went for the big stuff. Here is the prize of the trip, a two foot chunk of pure silver sheen obsidian. ;D ;D ;D

 This thread wouldn't be complete without some good northern style grits involved.  JJ brought some chucker that he had killed for one of the dinners and topped off with fried potatoes we were happy campers. ;)
 Morning in the teepee brought sausage and eggs, We noticed Dtiller's real good for breaking your eggs.

 By Saturday the ravine was getting lined with teepees. Saturday evening the famous Emory C. gave us the most incredible display of a skilled magician dicecting a big bolder to romove the prize inside. With every stroke of his 30 lb, chunk of copper he popped off huge spalls with almost no waist at all.  In a matter of minutes he had released this nice 20.5" blade from within the rock that we had. The crowd watch in amasement and we realized we had just wittnessed one of the best that there is in the world of napping.  ;D ;D

  Easter morning finally got JJ and Dtiller down on there knees, ;D :D  One good pic for the road and a few pics of some of the rainbow obsidian.
 Oh ya, :D >:D  Some how these cow pies got stuck in Dtillers grill. >:D

 The weekend was a real treat, More then anything getting to spend some time with JJ and Dtiller was all that I hoped it would be. They are both great guys. and both very skilled. They kicked out some beautifull points blades and bifaces that would make any pround and the bows were a treat to see as well.
  I didn't get a chance to shoot with Tiller (seemed the rock kept calling to him) but I did get to go shoot with JJ and between the two of us the birds and other critters stayed fairly safe, >:(  Keenan
