Antler Nocks
« on: March 10, 2018, 05:10:54 am »
Hello!
I was thinking of making an English Longbow from ash, but I don't have horn for the nocks. I know it can be bought quite cheaply, but I happen to have a lot of deer antlers!
Could I saw off the tips and use them as nocks? it might not be authentic, and I don't know if it's harder to work with, but it would be cool!

Deerv abtler works fine. I made an osage ELB a few years ago with deer antler "horn" nocks.
