Copy cat sorta
« on: April 07, 2018, 08:44:35 pm »
I saw the Viking necker and I had a couple of hours so I decided to get one going too. I used an old Simmons file, fired up the forge and when it got that file hot I started the tip, then roughed in the bevels. Then I cut the tang out and I hope tomorrow I can get it drawn out enough for the handle

This is after the last thermocycle. When it cools good I go for heat treat, I'm thinking about a hamon on this little necker but not sure yet

You're getting to be a pro at this. I'd go for the hamon.

Am sure new owner will like it mucho.
