Here she is after the pike. shooting better and at 13 lbs more draw weight to 57 from 44. Again was 70" and is now 66".  She is really rippin them arrows now. And Accurately!

I know it.  Just got my hands on an already seasoned osage stave.  I will be very careful with that one, particularly with chasing the ring.

Chasing osage rings is a lot easier then it sounds reading about doing it , with good lighting the rings pop off like a road map and very relaxing to do ! You will know every thing you need to know after the first !

Well luckily I have a small stave 51" to practice on (Im going to try and build my son a kid's bow) before I try to chase the ring on the 72" seasoned stave I just pruchased.  The small one has been sitting around my house under the bed for a year and thre emonths since cut, so Im assuming that one is seasoned good enough as well.

I have a bunch of those clip on lights that I picked up from Harbor freight cheap and find  the sweet spot where the rings pop off , plus a good group of scrapers in different shapes helps ,just be careful around knots or pin knots you can leave extra wood around them and come back after you finished the rest ,a good draw knife helps to ,it really is easier then it sounds on staves with decent rings , I sweated the first one I did and over thought it but know I chase them for therapy...lol

 Yeah, Weylin (Swiftwood Bows) has a great video on it on Youtube. Them harbor frieght lights sound like a gpod idea.

The tiller actually looks better now.  Before it was bending a bit too much in the outer limbs

 That's amazing!  How wide is that bow?   I like hickory a lot for its toughness.
