Douglas fir, Douglas fir and POC.

Hill cane, river cane, viburnum
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Southern Arrowwod and Multiflora rose. Mine would match Ntvbowyers woods. I like hardwoods, the carry weight and stay straight and don't break easily.

Dogwood, River Cane, bamboo, Doug fir, Sitka spruce.

I say River Cane specifically, but only because I have yet to try any of the sweet Hill cane Mr Pat B sent me!  :OK  I owe you Pat.

For ease of availability, durability, weight and spine dimensions for my needs douglas firs [from supplier though] and local dogwoods fill the bill for me.Like Aaron though I have a nice looking set of hill cane from Pat B [their looking good Pat] I have yet to finish but am sure I'll like them. Some ocean spray shoots from Bryce that should please me.Some native plum shoots denser than dogwoods I'm looking forward to making sometime along with more multiflora rose.I really like good bamboo too but local availability for that is 0.I seem to live too far north for that to be prolific here for me.
