Don any of the plum I cut I just seal the ends and throw it in the rafters in the woodshed for about a year then I kerfed/ split it. and it was/ is fine I made my trade bow last year with a piece and I sent a stave to Clint as well. I don't think it anything like O.S. that stuff is a pain. Cheers- Brendan

Plum is my second favorite bow wood. And just barely in second place.
Just a FANTASTIC wood. Super elastic and say “f#$& you” to set and string follow.
Purple leaf plum is my favorite of the plum species.

Your gonna love the bow it makes.
