Obsidian, hammer stone and Antler pressure flaker. Still need to make up something for notching and I'd probably like a Ishi stick, but actually got along very nicely with what I picked up off the ground

Just need another tine and grind it to a good flat edge for notching. Looks great as is though! I’m getting tired of notching, might try making arrowheads without em and see how they hold.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Thanks RickB. It does seem a rare case I don't shed a little blood.

Thanks Dbar. Actually when I first started I used this hammer stone and a tine. I was doing some spring cleaning and reorganizing awhile ago and put these in my tool box. I always did like the stone but the tine seemed to get better. Maybe drier? Seems less rubbery. At any rate I stepped back to that point in time.lol.

Thanks tracker. I know I have a tine ground down like that here somewhere. Might have to do more spring cleaning. I still find notching the most challenging and sometimes aggravating part. I'm sure they could be successfully halvted without notches.

Looking good, BJ. I dabble with it every once in a while, kinda fun, really.

Tracker, about 90% of my hunting points are just triangles with no notch.
