one I carved earlier
« on: June 27, 2018, 03:21:44 pm »
This is one I carved for a friend's wedding a while back and its one of my favourites.  I ran out of time so the finish isn't perfect and didn't even have a minute to take a photo back then, but I've just managed to rectify that as they've just moved back into the area. Hope you enjoy it.

It's common name in the UK is Lime, one of the Tilia family, as is linden, you may know it as bass-wood?  Lime is much more dense than the bass-wood I have worked with, although I only ever carved one piece of bass-wood being broadly similar in hardness to good quality pine
