Kitchen set
« on: July 04, 2018, 11:06:32 am »
Just finished this kitchen set.  S35VN at 62 HRC with stabilized wood with acrylic handle scales.  The steel is too dang hard and thin so I am not happy with the scratch pattern in the surface finish of the blade flats, though it's nof very visible in the pics.   This stuff laughs at abrasives at this hardness...I kid you not, 60 grit sandpaper just polishes this stuff.

The one with the turquoise acrylic glows in the dark,  looks pretty cool.  Had no idea till I took it in the house after sanding out in sunlight.

That would look good in anyone's kitchen!  Remind me to not try to work with steel that hard (f)!

Wow, super nice!
It's simple...just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
