W10/Linux
« on: July 05, 2018, 05:17:50 pm »
Just wondering how many use Linux.  I have become so fed up with W10 that I have switched to Ubuntu, again.  It's a bit different, although this new version is a lot better than the version I tried years ago.  It is amazing how much faster it is to windows

Haha that's the same thing I thought Clint.

Honestly I don't know what I use. I usually just use my phone.

I've used Mint a bit and it's pretty good. I've had issues with win10, but the latest patch seems to have fixed it.

I use Linux Mint cinnamon and in my opinion is a great OS.
I'm in web development and I use many flavours of Win, Mac and android still like Mint alot
it's excellent for the average use and user, easy to use, stable and with great softwares
It could disappoint you if you are an avid video gamer and another con is it's not easy to make it share contents in a LAN with other pc/OS.
Other than that it is really excellent

This PC runs win 7 (I wouldn't touch Win 10 with barge pole) I have another running Linux for when this one falls over.
I think Bill Gates should go down in history as the man who held back computing for several decades  >:( .

I'm on a Linux as well ... since that w8 disaster. I don't consider myself to be very much into computers ... so it doesn't matter if I have to look up sth for win or lin. once I heard about the compulsory updates with w10 I was happy this ship had already sailed long ago for me.
