fired up the forge after dinner.
got a knife 30% forged before the neighbors came over.

headed out of town for the weekend.
this might be all I get done this week.

Was going to be a nice one. It's hard to support these longer ones and keep the vibration from running through snapping them. Oh well. Saw them start over on forged in fire to. Clint would you rather have a steel blade? I could give it a try. I'm not scared

Yes Dave. It's from a TV screen. It's knapped  like Obsidian, but it's easier to find.

got some forge time in.
here the blade is forged and hot filed a little to refine shape.


now its off to a couple day soak in white vinegar to remove the super hard forge scale and save a ton on abrasives.

Most everything that I'm gonna do much grinding on.
Taking off the forge scale really saves on abrasives.

Bubby I'd be thrilled with any of them. If your looking for a favorite I probably like the one right under your big one second best. Your big one of course would be my first pick.lol. Hope the smoke has cleared some for ya.
