My new Native American reflex-deflex bow..
« on: April 01, 2008, 05:36:34 pm »
Hi guys...this is my new bow that i just finished....the bow is 64" long, and its made for my wife....he pulls 25#@27"....i can draw this bow even at 29"....the wood is  Mulberry....this stave ass verry thinn  and this is why i chose to do this type of bow....the bow is colored in red and black, and  i put him an arrowrest made from cow corn. And here is a fiew pictures with the bow.

Here you can see the arrowrest.

and here is the bow unstrung...you can see the deflex-reflex profile.

I used the steam to put the reflex and the deflex  in the wood....i have 2 forms..one for the tips and one for the middle of the bow.And here is a full draw..

Simple and beautiful. I'm particularly taken with the braced profile. Just lovely.

really a great looking artifact.  Curved enough to be considered recurve actually.  Very rich feel to it.
