Tomahawk from a rasp.

Hey guys here's an old rasp cut downtown 8" folded with the cut off portion forge welded in the middle. The shaft is osage orange toasted then coated with linseed oil. A fun project satisfying project Thanks for looking g

Very nice indeed. Especially like the osage handle. I think you'd well if you showed up with these at a bow building event or archery event.

I've got a similar one made from a horseshoe rasp. The fella that made them showed up at a Black Powder event I was shooting in and I promptly acquired one. As well as a couple of spare hickory handles.

Thanks fellas I appreciate the comments. Just my humble opinion but I think every Outdoorsman should have a tomahawk in his bag, they are lightweight, versatile and really fun to play with >:D (f)

Very nice!  Is that a 4 in 1 rasp, or a wide farriers rasp, or just a half moon?  I only need a forge, an anvil, tongs, and 2 good shoulders to be able to make one (f) >:D!  I would like to have one, but the "Ronnyvoo" prices seem a bit steep!  Got a couple old files and a 4 in 1 laying around though!  Neat work!
